OK, this is one of those things I harp on all the time.
The reason for that is because it took me much longer than it should have to figure it out for myself. When I think about all those years I ignored it, it makes me mad.
What I’m talkin’ about here is eliminating the natural instinct to try and do everything for free.
Sure, it would be nice to get up in the morning, click a few things… push a few buttons and, BOOM! Instant traffic and sales.
But, it really doesn’t work that way.
And, IT NEVER WILL!
Take a look at this Ugly Morning Video I posted to my YouTube channel a while back and see what you think:
You can get free traffic and sales, and in the long run it could work out for you, but it’s going to cost you DEARLY to do it.
In fact, it’s going to cost you WAY more than if you simply busted out a few hundred bucks to get the same result.
Why?
Because… TIME.
Time is the one unrenewable resource.
You can always get more money, but you can never get more time.
I see this all the time…
“Hey, William, do you know the best way to get free traffic to my website?”
Yeah… spend a few minutes creating an ad that leads to an opt-in page connected to a cheap impulse offer that pays for that ad.
“But, I want FREE traffic… you’re telling me to spend money on advertising.”
*Headslap*
If the end result is zero dollars, it’s ZERO DOLLARS!
That means it’s free, you imbecile!
Look… you can spend 6-months SEOing your website and creating backlinks and posting articles and ignoring your kids and staying home and working instead of spending time with your friends and a whole lot of other crap…
OR… you can spend $15 on a facebook ad that gets some visitors to your site so you can start making some money right away.
“But, what if I spend fifteen bucks on an ad to get people to my website, but they don’t buy anything? I just wasted fifteen bucks!”
D’oh! I’m going to headslap YOU this time!
If you spent $15 to find out your website doesn’t convert, you should THROW A PARTY!
You just saved yourself 6-months of your LIFE!
What’s 6-months of your life worth?
It better be worth more than $15…
